A LATE START, A FAST CLIMB

Maite spent twelve years asking her parents to let her race. When a trial kart finally proved what she could do, she debuted at the Federación Uruguaya de Karting and quickly stood out in Rotax DD2, the fastest and most competitive class.

A short spell in Uruguayan Formula 4 left a mark: in a rain race she climbed from last to 2nd and took the podium. Almost nobody does that. Then she packed her bags for the world stage, and in 2023 was selected as the only Latin American driver in the inaugural F1 Academy season.

In the United States she finished 3rd in the 2024 Formula 4 championship as the only woman on the grid, took pole in the 2025 MX-5 Cup women's championship, and in 2026 became the first woman to win in F4 JS cars in the USA.

7 Top Female awards, P12 overall in a field of about 30. Closed the season as Top Female Finisher at Indianapolis.

She studies finance alongside racing. Her 2027 target is McLaren Trophy America. Participation and the proposed Team Maite calendar are not confirmed; her long-term aspiration is a professional GT and endurance career.
